The PG-hunting checklist every Nashik student should carry

Moving to Nashik for college or your first job usually means finding a PG in a hurry — often over a single weekend visit. A few minutes of checking now saves months of regret.
Ask about the gate-closing time in writing, not just verbally — many PGs are stricter on weekdays than what the broker or owner first tells you. Check water pressure at the same time of day you'd actually shower (early morning, usually), not whenever the owner shows you around.
Count the number of students already sharing your intended room, and ask what happens if one leaves — does your rent go up? Look at the cupboard and study table condition, not just the bed. If food is included, ask to see a sample week's menu, not just "veg thali daily".
Confirm what the deposit actually covers and whether it's refundable in writing, and check mobile network signal inside the room, not just the building lobby — patchy 4G in your room is a daily annoyance nobody mentions upfront.
On Bachyug, every listing marked "Verified" has already been visited on-ground by our team, and amenities that aren't present are shown struck-through rather than simply hidden — so you know exactly what you're walking into before you even ask the owner a single question.
